The Finance-Growth Nexus in Europe: A Comparative Meta-Analysis of Emerging Markets and Advanced Economies

This paper performs a meta-analysis of the effect on economic growth financial development and liberalization in European emerging markets compares with that advanced economies. A meta-synthesis 893 estimates extracted from 45 studies suggests finance has positive growth. Furthermore, our findings indicate synthesized size was smaller than Results meta-regression analysis test for publication selection bias, however, show some synthesis results cannot be reproduced when literature heterogeneity bias are taken into consideration.
